This is a festive season. People seem to smile more. There is a lot of well-wishing. Energy in stores and places of work appear to be at higher levels. Almost everywhere a spirit of goodwill is in the air.
And it is the season of wishing. Retailers make sure that you see nothing but glitz in their windows and doors, luring you in, inviting you to indulge in fulfilling your wishes. Children are encouraged to write letters to Santa asking him to bring them what they want. Trees in living rooms blink the message to passers-by that presents are under them for the residents at these houses.
So, I'll join in.
